Power - Power and speed are about 10% less than average, but still adequate. Generates up to 1,280 in-lbs of torque, and 2,300 RPM.
Batteries - Lithium-Ion battery run-time is sufficient for many applications, but about 30% less than average. However, batteries can be recharged in just 15 minutes.
I don't know how I used to get by without this handy little monster. Everyone should have one of these in their tool arsenal.
The Makita 18V Impact Driver is a great tool. It is compact and light weight. It drives 3" screws with ease.
You can use this bad boy to drive concrete screws without pre-drilling pilot holes. It's about 50 bucks cheaper than when I bought it, and I can't recommend it enough.
it was hell when it was well, but died after a year on the third screw putting down a sheet of backer board on wet thin set.

this little monster can go right in your back pocket and the 18 volt seems to run forever , and if it doesn't it charges in 15 min

The drill is comfortable to use, light-weight and compact enough to drive screws into tight areas with few problems. It is hard to fault it really.

This driver works great and hold a charge for a long time. Also charges QUICK.
This is an excellent tool. It's everything I expected and more! It drove 2 1/2 screws into solid wood and countersank them with no problems.
What this model provides that others don't is the lightweight. Li-ion batteries at only 1.5 ah fit that bill well. You sacrifice a bit of run time between charges, but I have found that a charge lasts all day

All in all, though, this is a very well made tool that does more than you can reasonably expect. If I had to have just one power tool, this would definitely be it.
Nice tool, best features, Lightweight, lite stays on and the head is short for getting into tight spaces
I think this driver is way a head of all the others on the market.
